Landlord registration

To be able to rely on the rental guarantee and damage insurance provided by the Tenant Guarantee Scheme, landlords must register the start of each new tenancy. Prior to that you can search our tenant database without registering providing your tenant or proposed tenant has provided you with his or her unique Tenant Guarantee Scheme membership number.

When you have completed the details below and we have checked with your tenant, we will send you an email, confirming that you are covered by our guarantees Your policy documentation will follow in a few days.

Declaration

I confirm that the information above is to the best of my knowledge and belief correct as of this date.

In registering this interest I am agreeing to inform the Tenant Guarantee Scheme as soon as is practicable of any change of circumstances affecting the tenancy, including: those of which I am aware concerning the employment and financial standing of the tenant, rent arrears of more than two month’s rent, and damage to fixtures, fittings, soft furnishings, appliances, garden tools and utensils provided with the tenancy other than caused by normal wear and tear.

I accept the responsibility for mitigating any loss including, where appropriate, issuing possession proceedings should rents become more than two months in arrears.

I confirm that I have adequate inventory and other records sufficient to verify any claim for damage, loss or unpaid rent and agree that any claim against the Tenant Protection Scheme for such damage, loss or unpaid rent will be settled in accordance with the rules of insurance cover as detailed in the policy.
